FoamTouch upholstery foam, proudly made in the USA, is composed of Polyurethane and is available in two options: High Density (44lb) and Medium Density (36lb). The high density foam has a compression rate of 44 lbs, determined by the Indentation Load Deflection (ILD) test. ILD measures the amount of pressure needed to indent the foam to a depth of 4” by 25% and is performed on a 50 square inch area. This type of foam is ideal for those seeking a firm feeling without sinking into their couch.

FoamTouch foam boasts a 100% recovery rate and is designed for long-term use, with a durability of 5-7 years. It is important to note that all foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard, and are rolled under pressure for packaging. Upon receiving the package, it needs to be opened immediately. A ball point pen or pencil should be used to make a small incision and break the seal, as using a box cutter or blade is not recommended.

Before starting a project, it is advised to let the foam sheet lay flat for 48-72 hours to allow it to regain its original shape. This foam is suitable for a variety of uses, including Chair Pads, Seat Cushions, Couch Cushions, Furniture Cushions, Pillows, Patio Cushions, Rocking Chairs, Car Seats, Bike Seats, Upholstery Repair, Foam Mattresses, and Mattresses.

The 6” thick x 30” wide x 96” long FoamTouch high density foam packaging may come vacuum packed, rolled, or compressed. Once received, it should be opened immediately to ensure the foam regains its original size and form. It should not remain unopened for longer than a week, as this could lead to the foam losing its shape. A period of up to 72 hours should be allowed for the foam to regain its original shape.

It is important to note that our foam is not fire retardant and will last for 7-10 years.
