Our high-density foam has a compression rate of 44lbs, providing the perfect balance of cushioning and firmness. The foam remains soft, yet offers the necessary support for an individual to sit comfortably without sinking or compressing the foam excessively.

It's important to note that compression, not density, determines the firmness of the foam. If you want to avoid a cushion that feels like a rock or a mattress that sags when you sit on it, it's essential to check the compression or ILD (Indention Load Deflection) number. Compression refers to the number of pounds needed to compress a piece of foam by 25% and have it bounce back to its original thickness. For instance, a 4" thick piece of foam requiring 33 lbs. to compress it by 1" and return to its full 4" thickness has a compression rating of 33 lbs.

Keep in mind that all our foam sheets are sold per sheet and not per yard. When opening the package, avoid using a box cutter and instead, use a ballpoint pen or pencil to make a small incision and break it open from there. Our foam is durable and will last for 7 to 10 years, proudly made in the USA.
